The Buzz: Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro and Jeffrey Donovan return for this Sicario spin-off which sees the trio tackling drug cartels attempting to smuggle terrorists into the U.S.

Original writer Taylor Sheridan, one of the hottest talents in Hollywood right now, returns to pen the script, while Brolin, del Toro and Donovan will play opposite Catherine Keener and Matthew Modine.

Considering that the original movie earned three Oscar nominations, expectations are undeniably high.

Why It'll Disappoint: It's practically impossible not to be disappointed that Sicario's director Denis Villeneuve isn't returning, nor cinematographer Roger Deakins, composer Jóhann Jóhannsson or original star Emily Blunt.

Furthermore, this is Italian director Stefano Sollima's first foray into Hollywood, and we all know how often that doesn't work out, as art-house sensibilities tend to clash with the demands of a major studio.

It probably won't be bad, but getting anywhere close to the original is unlikely, so it's definitely best to keep your expectations firmly in the middle.
