Why It Could Happen: There's a lot working in Li Bingbing's favour here: she's 42 years old but she absolutely doesn't look it (she could easily pass for her late 20s/early 30s, the magic number for most recent Bond girls), there hasn't been a major Asian Bond girl since Michelle Yeoh's Wai Lin in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies, and adding a Chinese actress into the mix will do wonders for that ridiculously lucrative Chinese box office market. Why It Might Not: The fact we haven't had a major Asian Bond girl in almost two decades says that the filmmakers clearly aren't that fussed, even though they'll struggle to ignore the increasing financial incentives afforded by such casting. Plus, she's not especially well known to Western audiences, which could harm her chances: they'll probably opt for someone a little more internationally famous if they're going to go this route. How Likely Is It?: Definitely possible considering some of the little-known actresses who have wound up in Bond films and the plusses speak for themselves, but not a dead cert either. 6/10
