Why It Could Happen: Emily Blunt isn't just ridiculously charming and stunningly beautiful: she's also a total bada**, as she's proven in roles such as Looper, Edge of Tomorrow and Sicario. She's thoroughly convincing as a love interest, as a smart, resourceful heroine and as an action hero: she's pretty much the total package. Also, she's only 32 years old, which puts her in pretty good standing to actually nab this part in the next few years. Why It Might Not: English women have had a pretty mixed reception as Bond girls: sure, Naomie Harris is great as Moneypenny (assuming you even include her as a Bond girl), but Gemma Arterton's Strawberry Fields was totally forgettable save for that Goldfinger homage, Rosamund Pike's Miranda Frost sucked, and simply, most of the best, memorable English Bond girls came decades ago in the likes of Pussy Galore, Jill Masterson, Tracy Bond and Solitaire. It's been a pretty dry well ever since. How Likely Is It?: She's too tantalising a proposition not to consider, and seeing her sharing the screen with Craig would probably guarantee box office dynamite. This one feels right. 7/10
