13 Awesome Movies To Watch This Summer (Which Aren't Blockbusters)

7. Rough Night

Rough Night Scarlett Johansson Kate McKinnon Zoe Kravitz Jillian Bell
Columbia Pictures

Release Date: June 16

The Plot: Five college pals (Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a night of debauchery that leaves a male stripper dead, and the fivesome drunkenly attempting to take care of the corpse.

Why It's Going To Be Awesome: This basically looks like an all-female reboot of the 1998 cult classic Very Bad Things, and that's actually a pretty damn nifty idea.

It's R-rated, it's got a fantastic ensemble of talent, and is written and directed by the people responsible for the hilarious Broad City, so what's not to like?

Plus, while Very Bad Things featured the men all turning on each other in the end, this version looks like it'll see the women bonding over their shared trauma. It seems nothing if not weirdly true-to-life in that regard.
