13 Awful Movie Sequel Titles We Wish Were Scrapped

3. Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo

After the success of the original 1984 movie Breakin', a needless sequel was released a mere 7 months later, with the absurd title Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. The title refers to the dance style used throughout the film, but that doesn't make it sound much less stupid, yet much like Highlander II's The Quickening, the term "Electric Boogaloo" has become a running joke online, with people frequently using it to denote upcoming movie sequels that nobody wants to see. For example, if sequels were ever announced to classic films such as Fight Club, Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption, Twitter would immediately be awash in comments such as #FightClub2 #ElectricBoogaloo. Much like the original Electric Boogaloo, they would be pointless, and though the original Breakin' was no classic, it was a comparable masterpiece next to the considerably less-successful follow-up.
