13 Awful Movie Sequel Titles We Wish Were Scrapped

12. Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

After the simple, acceptable titling of the original movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Fox came back with a vengeance for the sequel, which they obnoxiously named Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. It might be cutesy and funny for the little kiddies, but to anyone over the age of about five, it was a cringe-inducingly awful pun, one that made us wince every time we saw a poster or trailer for the dreadful movie. Still, the irritating title didn't stop the movie from succeeding: it made a huge $443 million at the box office, and led to another sequel, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, which despite featuring a slightly less infuriating sub-title, somehow actually made less money than the irksome "squeakquel". A fourth movie is currently in the works, though the title is still pending. Guesses on a post-card, please.
