6. Highlander II: The Quickening

Much like Hellraiser, Highlander II's sub-title, The Quickening, does actually relate to something from the movie, though that doesn't make it sound much more reasonable. The Quickening refers to the energy released from the body of an Immortal when he is beheaded, but it mostly just sounds like nonsense, and combined with the movie's almost universally negative critical reception, has allowed it to become something of a meme on the Internet. Now whenever an unnecessary movie sequel is announced, you can expect more than a few people to comment upon how Transformers: The Transformening (or whatever the sequel might be) is going to suck. Highlander II may for the most part be blandly forgettable, but thanks to this horrendous sequel title, it will live on forever more.
