13 Awful Movies With 1 Awesome Scene

1. "For Me, It Was Tuesday" - Street Fighter

Christopher Reeve Superman 3
Universal Pictures

The Awful Movie: Without question the most infamous video game adaptation to date, Street Fighter fails to capture the most basic essence of the source material, by needlessly making changes to characters, failing to include some of the more beloved fighters...and casting Kylie Minogue as Cammy.

It's bad enough that the Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive movies are comparative masterpieces.

The Awesome Scene: Chun-Li (Ming-Na Wen) confronts the tyrannical M. Bison (Raul Julia, in his final screen performance) about him arriving at her village and killing her father.

His reply? "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday."

It's a legitimately chilling, bada** line and the single piece of good dialogue in the entire film. Julia nails the delivery, and Wen's shocked expression afterwards seals it.

If the rest of the movie had nailed this tone and been more respectful of the games, it could've been a highly entertaining movie for reasons not rooted in irony.
