13 Awful Movies With 1 Awesome Scene

11. Mass Decapitation - Ghost Ship

The Awful Movie: While not as actively infuriating as many of the movies on this list, Ghost Ship is nevertheless an exceptionally bland horror flick for the most part, rather than the affectionate B-movie love letter most were probably hoping for.

Bad dialogue, worse acting and a hilariously out-of-place nu-metal soundtrack seal its legacy as a dud.

The Awesome Scene: The movie's opening scene takes place on an Italian cruise ship in the 1960s, where an unseen force springs a razor wire trap that slices the entire dance floor in half.

As the bodies crumple to the floor in giddily over-the-top fashion, only a young girl too short to be cut by the wire (played by a young Emily Browning) survives.

Talk about a movie peaking early. This scene remains legendary among horror fans, and with its inventive set-up and plentiful gore, really nails the tone the rest of the movie should've been shooting for.
