13 Awkward Moments That Must Have Happened After The End Of Famous Movies

8. Mindy Realises She Can'€™t Look After Herself - Kick-Ass 2

Lionsgate/Universal Pictures

The Actual Ending: For a film I got the impression was trying to be an Empire Strikes Back of a Kick-Ass trilogy, the recent sequel had an surprisingly optimistic ending, leaving a third entry with a lot of setting up to do. The Motherf*cker supposedly dies, superheroes return to their normal lives (except, it seems, Dave) and Hit Girl leaves New York. Aside from that unexpected kiss it'€™s an ending much brighter than the films it€™'s riffing off.

The Awkward Moment: Hit Girl has spent her entire life training to be a superhero and in this very film showed she was incredibly inept at normal social situations - her dealing with the bullies, while just, got her in a lot of trouble. Yet at the end we see her thinking she can start a new life. No matter if she tries to be normal or a hero, there€™'s not a chance she'€™ll succeed. Mindy is a fifteen year old girl. No one that age could survive on their own and even if she did successfully set herself up in a new city questions would quickly be asked as to why she'€™s on her own, hero or no.
