Now we go back to the movie that started it all, 2008's Iron Man, and the MCU's first-ever post-credits scene, which introduced S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to audiences.

Fury breaks into Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) home, and as Stark confronts him, Fury tells him, "You think you're the only superhero in the world? Mr. Stark, you've become part of a bigger universe: you just don't know it yet."

After introducing himself to a bemused Stark, his closes with, "I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger initiative."

While it gets zero points for subtlety, it's a fantastic intro for a fan favourite supporting character, while also stirring up hype for a team-up movie that was still four whole years away.
