13 Best Horror Movie Masks

4. Peachfuzz - Creep

Scream Mask
The Orchard

Strapped to the face of someone quite so unpredictable as Josef in Creep, any mask would be inherently scary. Hiring a cameraman to follow him around for the day to make a video before he succumbs to a terminal illness (or so he claims), Josef repeatedly proves himself a strange, volatile, and creepy character - and one that's not adverse to lying.

A small but recurring theme throughout Creep and its sequel is a rubber halloween mask based on a werewolf, permanently stuck in an ugly snarl. Josef claims that this was his father's mask and it's representative of a friendly wolf named Peachfuzz, which is disturbing enough, before revealing later in the film that its purpose was to confirm his wife's animal pornography problems. Peachfuzz ain't no friendly wolf.

It's one of those masks that's disturbing for its over-the-top nature before any rambling weirdos get their hands on it and make it ten times worse, and more than gives away Josef's duplicitous nature between calm and collected 'nice guy' and the feral killer that he really is underneath.
