13 Best Motorbike Chases In Film

13. Jackie Chan - Armour Of God II: Operation Condor

Armour Of God Starting the list is the enigmatic and loveable Hong Kong action hero Jackie Chan, tearing up the streets of Madrid in a bizarrely dubbed motorcycle chase sequence. The 1991 martial arts action film was nominated for best action choreography in the 1992 Hong Kong Film Awards, and it's easy to see why, as this motorbike chase features some breath-taking stunts and some brilliant action. Being pursued by a group of black saloon cars, Jackie takes to a dirt-bike to evade capture, and leads the cars on a fast-paced and humourous chase through tight alleyways, market stalls and an apparent box factory. In a nod to Battleship Potemkin/The Untouchables, Jackie even manages to save a baby. My personal favourite moment sees Jackie take a painter€™s tin, and the surprised man yells €œHey, what are you doing with my paint?!€ I say again, nominated for Best Action Choreography, not Best Scriptwriting.

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
