Film: Fighting With My Family

Upcoming WWE film Fighting With My Family is an intriguing prospect - particularly as it's being made by one of the most unexpected bands of talent ever to work with WWE Studios. The Rock produces (and is currently listed to appear), British comedian Stephen Merchant directs and Nick Frost and Lena Headey top the cast bill that also features several active WWE stars.

The oddest sell of all is Frost playing fearsome Bevis patriarch Ricky Knight, a volatile hardcore personality who is far more gangster Bob Hoskins than anything he's played before. Sure, he might be something like a similar shape, but what about Frost's amiable, charming supporting roles has marked him out as the right man for this job, exactly?

Will It Work?

As long as he doesn't actually have to wrestle (because there's no way he could have got up to a professional looking level in that short production period), it might be a wildcard performance. But Frost has a long way to go to convince he can pull of Knight's more volatile persona (as well as his controversial past).
