13 Castings For New Movies That Prove Hollywood Has Gone Insane

11. Sir Patrick Stewart As Poop

Film: The Emoji Movie

The entire idea of The Emoji Movie is something of a joke, in all honesty. It looks like yet another cynical ploy to cash in on an everyday craze that shouldn't work as a film, but probably still will purely because emojis are so inherently part of the lexicon of living now.

The cast is mostly what you'd expect - B-list comedy veterans like Anna Faris, TJ Miller, Rob Riggle and James Corden - aside from the presence of luxurious voiced legend Sir Patrick Stewart, whose voice has graced the likes of Ted and American Dad. Surely he'd be playing Siri, or something suitably regal?

Nope, he's playing the poop emoji. Poop. And that's the entire joke.

Will It Work?

It should be weird enough to be hilarious - provided the material is up there - but it's hard to imagine the film is going to be an Earth-mover.
