There can't be a Murder On The Orient Express without a murder on the Orient Express, it almost goes without saying.

The newest adaptation of the movie - under the stewardship of the excellent Kenneth Branagh (who also stars as Hercule Poirot) - will see Johnny Depp playing the unfortunate passenger - the thoroughly detestable Ratchett who ends up on the pointy end of 12 stab wounds, despite warning Poirot that's exactly what is going to happen.

It's interesting casting, particularly as Depp is still classed as an A-lister despite some of his recent failings, as it means he'll be killed off very early on (though one would assume Branagh will include flash-backs as well). And no matter how many variations there are on the original story, the one concrete fact is that he will die.
