13 Dumbest Things In 2018's Summer Movies

2. Neve Campbell Reboots The Building - Skyscraper

One of the establishing scenes in Dwayne Johnson's Die Hard-aping blockbuster sees hero Will Sawyer (Johnson) fixing his wife Sarah's (Neve Campbell) phone by turning it on and off again. He straight-up tells her that if something doesn't work, 90% of the time you can fix it by doing this.

And of course, this pays off in hilariously dumb fashion near the end of the movie, when Sarah uses a tablet to literally reboot the tech-infused skyscraper that her hubby's trapped inside. When asked what she did, she proudly proclaims she turned it on and off again.

This is one of those moments so monumentally stupid it almost circles back around again to become brilliant, but you're still more likely to groan than laugh at it.

And finally, a SPOILER WARNING if you haven't seen The Predator yet and don't want the idiocy spoiled for yourself...
