13 Films You Won't Believe Turn 10 Years Old In 2015

13. Sin City

The Movie: Robert Rodriguez did a spectacular job adapting Frank Miller's graphic novel to the screen, with a sexy, ultra-violent film noir spectacle that became one of 2005's unexpected sleeper hits, and has endured as a stylish cult classic ever since. Why It Doesn't Feel 10 Years Old: The main reason for this is because the sequel, A Dame to Kill For, was only released last year, after being in the planning stages for close to a decade. How many hit movies leave it so long to make a follow-up? As such it's easy for the mind to distort time and believe that Sin City came out in 2007 or 2008, as that simply makes more sense in terms of Hollywood production cycles. Also, the visual effects have aged extremely well, and were the movie released today, it would surely still score strong critical notices for its exuberant style. However, in reality, the cruel hand of time has moved swiftly on, as two of the movie's stars, Michael Clarke Duncan and Brittany Murphy, died premature deaths long before the sequel was released.
