3. Benicio Del Toro - Thor: The Dark World
The Role: The Collector
Much like his role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Benicio Del Toro's interesting casting in the MCU as The Collector seems to have been nothing more than an excuse for him to get a little weird and not really have all that much to do beyond serving as a narrative device with some odd quirks.
Sure, there's time for The Collector to come good as he's got a role to play in Infinity War, but if that amounts to much more than him being killed off pretty quickly, it will be a big surprise. And when he does get forcibly retired from the MCU, the sorry fact is that he will be remembered more for the fact that he reintroduced Howard The Duck than for anything Del Toro does in any meaningful way.
Given how great he can still be in the likes of Sicario and even Escobar: Paradise Lost, the fact that he's essentially playing a wax work (more interesting in look than substance) is pretty bloody unfortunate.
