Box Office: Iron Man 3 ($1.214 billion), Captain America: Civil War ($1.153 billion), Spider-Man: Homecoming ($880.6 million), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ($863.7 million), Thor: Ragnarok ($853.9 million), Guardians of the Galaxy ($773.3 million), Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($714.2 million), Doctor Strange ($677.7 million), Thor: The Dark World ($644.5 million), Iron Man 2 ($623.9 million), Iron Man ($585.1 million), Ant-Man ($519.3 million), Thor ($449.3 million), Captain America: The First Avenger ($370.5 million), The Incredible Hulk ($263.4 million).

That's quite a list. In fact, the only MCU movies Black Panther hasn't outgrossed are The Avengers ($1.518 billion) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.405 billion), with it being a mathematical certainty that Infinity War will also overtake it within the next week.

Still, for a freaking Black Panther movie to annihilate far more established and bankable properties such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man and Captain America is just insane. Only the team-up tentpoles have performed any better, which makes all that hand-wringing about the financial viability of a Black Panther film a few years ago seem nothing short of laughable.
