This is a highly unlikely destiny for the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Tony Stark - especially given the source from which the idea comes - but it's an interesting idea and one that we certainly wouldn't rule out. Humans with mechanical parts are an established part of the franchise now - the Winter Soldier, Deathlok and John Garrett have all had bionic parts - and, if Tony Stark was to get severely injured, given the nature of his expertise there's no reason why he wouldn't have himself fixed to become a true "Iron Man". It was an alternate timeline version of Stark in the Age of Ultron comic book arc that influenced this particular idea, but stranger things have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Trevor Slattery, anyone?).
