The Demon in a Bottle comic book storyline is one of the most famous involving Tony Stark. Indeed, Tony Stark and alcoholism are synonymous with each other in Marvel's comic books and it's quite surprising that it hasn't already been explored in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU version of Stark certainly appears to enjoy a drink, however, and the fact that he does so combined with the traumatic experiences that he has experienced so far could ultimately drive him to alcohol dependency in the future. It would be a sad way for the character to bow out, given how popular he is, but it would certainly be a fitting portrayal of the character, given his comic book history.
