With the original an absolute classic in the horror-comedy universe, it’s fair to be trepidatious about the upcoming remake of An American Werewolf in London. At least it’s being kept in the family, with original director John Landis’s son taking on writing and directing of the movie.

Claiming that ‘very little happens’ in the original, Max Landis has released little about changes he will be making to the 1981 movie, in which two American backpackers are attacked by a giant wolf outside a village and one is transformed into the titular creature.

The only adaptation revealed so far is clarification on why the original werewolf wasn’t apprehended by the villagers themselves, before anyone else had a chance to be killed or transformed by the creature - which I guess is a fair point to expand upon.
