Yep, so this is something of a cheat, given that Cyborg is at least partly human, but he's still also far more machine than man. And it is his technical augmentations that are in focus here.

Almost killed by a dimension-hopping monster, Victor Stone - already a genius level intellect - was rebuilt by his father as part-machine, and rather than attempting to make him look normal, he instead took the opportunity to turn him into a Swiss army knife.

The result of the experimentation that saved Victor's life was the production of Cyborg, a one-man walking army, capable of superhuman strength, endurance and durability, the ability to plug into computers and a rainbow of other abilities. He's like Batman's infinite utility belt on steroids.

Sure, the augmentation wouldn't work without Victor's will to power it, but equally it's a life support unit and he needs it more than he needs it.
