8. A Female Ensemble Movie

Hints

After Captain Marvel's introduction and the new Black Widow movie, Marvel will be looking for more female-centric projects to prove they weren't merely hitting quotas.

Luckily for them, in the wake of her appearance in Thor: Ragnarok, Tessa Thompson is rumoured to have pitched an all-female MCU movie Kevin Feige alongside fellow Marvel stars including Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), and Karen Gillan (Nebula).

Feige was reportedly "very enthusiastic" and so too was Black Panther director Ryan Coogler who threw his hat into the ring to direct.

Hopes

That Marvel don't just brand it as a Female Avengers property, even with the brand power of that sort of umbrella, it would be a little cynical to do that. It would be better to focus on a major storyline from the comics as the route in for established fans (the same way Civil War, Age Of Ultron and Ragnarok were used but not purely adapted).

Whatever thee approach, Marvel need to hire a female talent team and bring not make it a "here are these other non-Avengers" project by leaving out the most powerful female characters for the "main" Avengers projects.
