13 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Came Out In 2018
6. God's Not Dead: A Light In Darkness
And now for another banger from the fine folks over at Pure Flix Entertainment, we have the third entry into the God's Not Dead franchise, A Light in Darkness.
In case you're unaware, the God's Not Dead series is thinly-veiled Christian propaganda, with the first film infamously revolving around an atheist college professor who - spoilers! - gets hit by a car and dies at the end, but not before converting to Christianity in his final moments.
A Light in Darkness is meanwhile focused on convincing audiences that Christians are the most embattled "minority" in the world today, with the film wearing its victim complex on its sleeve throughout as a reverend - played by Pure Flix co-founder David A. R. White - tries to stop a church being demolished by the Big Bad Atheists.
It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so problematic, and above all this it's yet another relentless exercise in preaching to the choir with zero self-awareness whatsoever. Insane.
