5. Dumbo

There's no denying that Tim Burton's Dumbo looks absolutely adorable, but Disney clearly knows what they're doing by focusing on the iconic little elephant's bulging, almost eerily human eyes.

But this will most likely be a film propped up by its cuteness, because it's inexplicably being written by Ehren Kruger, who was responsible for penning the middle three Michael Bay Transformers films.

As for Burton, he's less of a filmmaker and more of a brand salesman these days, so while his direction will surely be effective enough, don't expect him to spin gold from Kruger's likely wretched script.

Dumbo probably won't be bad, but don't forget that those trailers are manipulating the hell out of the human fondness for big eyes - something Burton knows all about - and our collective nostalgia for the original animated classic.
