13 Outrageously Awful 2014 Performances That Deserve Razzies

4. Leslie Mann As Kate King - The Other Woman

Leslie Mann is known largely for two things: a) being Judd Apatow's wife and b) having a characteristically shrill voice. Sadly, The Other Woman proves above all doubt that, if Mann is going to be cast in leading roles, the scripts need to be vetted for overt shrieking, because it renders the actress temporarily extremely annoying in this terrible rom-com. Considering that Mann's character Kate should be relatively easy to sympathise with (she's been cheated on by her hotshot husband), it's incredible that the script conspires with Mann to make her so thoroughly unlikeable and irritating. If she's not screaming at the top of her voice, she's acting like an idiot or plotting a revenge for her husband that's morally dubious at best. When Mann is less-tolerable than a model with virtually no acting experience in Kate Upton (alright, the boobs definitely helped), something has gone horribly wrong. What could have been a fun girl power movie is in fact a total disservice to women everywhere.
