2. "No. I Came Back To Stop You!" - The Dark Knight Rises
While there are plenty of plot problems to nit-pick, The Dark Knight Rises was for the most part an extremely entertaining conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight saga, though there's one line near the end of the movie that truly sticks out like a sore thumb. Batman arrives in Gotham to take down Bane, and upon being sighted, the following words are spoken: Bane: So, you came back to die with your city? Batman: No. I came back to stop you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Bane's line, but there's just no real reason for Batman's line to exist. It's as though the Nolan brothers thought that it would sound really cool and bada**, but in effect it sounds overly literal and like what a kid might say on a school playground. There was no need for Batman to say anything: clearly Bane's remark is tongue-in-cheek and provocative, and doesn't require a defensive statement of any kind, especially not one as dumb and unimaginative as this.
