9. Ed Norton & Seth Rogen Get Slaughtered - Sausage Party
The R-rated animated romp concludes with the groceries entering a stargate to exact revenge on their creators, specifically the voice actors who play them, such as Seth Rogen and Edward Norton.
Apparently writer-director Rogen did actually experiment with showing Frank (Rogen), Brenda (Kristen Wiig) and the other foods entering the live-action realm to hunt down their A-list puppeteers, but felt the execution wasn't quite right.
The implication, though, is still crystal clear, that the groceries would cause the same sort of gory havoc from the supermarket in real-life, with Rogen, Norton and everyone else involved with the movie essentially being massacred in hilariously violent ways.
And honestly, the implication is probably much funnier and more horrifying than if it had actually appeared in the movie.
