Of Craig's four Bond movies to date, three of them have exceeded the 140 minute mark, and though Casino Royale and Skyfall largely managed to justify these run-times, Spectre's longest-ever 148-minute length just felt totally excessive. Considering how long it takes for Bond to even meet Madeleine and Blofeld's minimal screen time, there's an overwhelming feeling that the film could've easily been 15-20 minutes shorter. Hell, cut out the near-pointless Monica Bellucci segment and you've lost almost half that already. Longer doesn't always mean better if the script isn't sufficiently nuanced, and it'd be nice to see the next movie return to a more streamlined 120-130 minutes. Given that the obvious premise seems to be the return of Blofeld, there's not much reason why they couldn't run with this out of the gate and forego the preambles.
