1. All Those Disappointments

As awesome as so many of the year's most-anticipated films were, 2015 also had its share of disappointments that left viewers feeling rather crestfallen. Avengers: Age of Ultron was a good but ultimately underwhelming sequel compared to the original, Jurassic World was a tolerable but fairly sloppy action flick, Tomorrowland was an absolute mess, Fantastic Four was a trainwreck, and In the Heart of the Sea was totally forgettable. Nobody really wants to admit that Age of Ultron and Jurassic World fell short of those stratospheric original hopes, but it's worth facing up to, if only to get disenfranchised with the ridiculous hype that emerges ahead of these movies. You'll develop a far healthier relationship with the blockbuster as a whole, and maybe not let yourself end up so disappointed in future. What devastating movie truths did you learn in 2015?
