13 Upcoming Movies Destined To Be Box Office Bombs

10. The Nutcracker & The Four Realms

The Nutcracker And The Four Realms Mackenzie Foy
Disney

Release Date: November 2

Budget: $120 million (estimated)

Oh boy. This feels like the next A Wrinkle in Time, because without an A-list lead or marketing that suggests it'll be anything more than a generic fantasy flick, why would anyone bother when they can save their money for The Grinch or Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?

It's desperately clear Disney is trying to make yet another tentpole franchise here, but with the film undergoing extensive re-shoots earlier this year, it's possible the budget has ballooned far larger than our conservative $120 million estimate.

Its more typical fantasy sheen will probably help it beat A Wrinkle in Time's embarrassing $132.7 million cume, but not by a whole lot.

Estimated Box Office: $170 million
