6. I Saw The Devil (2010)
Another Korean revenge tale, again with Oldboy actor Choi Min-sik, I Saw The Devil is a masterfully compiled thriller which incorporates casual cannibalism and sexual sadism. This flick is so uncompromising that the black humour nestled within will probably go unnoticed. It really is that horrifying. Kyung-chul is a psychopath who kills for pleasure. He is evil personified and has committed horrifying and senseless serial murders on innocent people, successfully eluding capture. It's a cold night, and his latest victim is Ju-yeon, daughter of a retired police chief and pregnant fiancée of elite special agent, Soo-hyun. Motivated by revenge, Soo-hyun is a man possessed, determined to track down the murderer, even if doing so means losing sight of himself along the way. When he finds Kyung-chul, justice is the last thing on his mind. As good and evil cease to exist, only chaos ensues in this truly twisted tale.
