She might not win any awards for being a good person and the Nobel Peace Prize is well out of her reach, but Bellatrix Lestrange was a pioneer for women in embracing the person that they are. She's rather masculine and is on the other end of the spectrum for women who are maternal, caring and loving - Bellatrix embraces this inability to care for others and by giving into her sadistic urges, she was able to become one of the most powerful witches of all time. You're born with the ability to be good or bad and whilst you'll always experience both, you'll predominately live your life by one or the other. Lestrange might be a member of the dark side but she did so in a way that not many women had the courage to do. She is a character who is so certain of herself, right down to her core and what other may consider flaws, she calls them strengths, and she uses these to her advantage to serve the Dark Lord.
