Let's just ignore Jennifer Garner's interpretation and focus on the real Elektra, not the horrendously bad casting and 'sort of like' Elektra. Marvel's creation was based on a female bodybuilder and her character is something to be feared. From Greek descent, Elektra is a ninja assassin with an incredible knowledge of weaponry and martial arts. Her weapon of choice is Japanese sai and she is an Olympic level athlete and is resistant to pain. She is pretty much every mugger's worst nightmare. She is the love interest of Daredevil but her mercenary lifestyle causes some concerns in their relationship because when you're an assassin, the heart wants what the heart wants...
