When you're a nobody and you're standing up to a somebody, it can be intimidating. Most people will just accept the rules for what they are, no questions asked. But when it comes down to the life of another, is that something that you can comply with, just because that big somebody told you to do it? Katniss isn't only a brave and admirable woman, she also symbolises change and becomes the face of rebellion against oppression of those who are in power. She is the voice of the people and despite her position, she uses her skills in order to beat those who believe that they are above her. Because televised fights to the death are always a treat.
