14 Cinematic Questions We Demand To Have Answered in 2013

2. Who Will Direct The Justice League Movie?

Names have already been suggested: Brett Ratner, The Wachowskis, Zack Snyder... But as yet, there has been no concrete movement on the biggest question facing all DC fans. Personally, though the idea of someone like Ben Affleck offering a darker JLA experience, I'd believe whoever is chosen needs to have the experience and vision to make the JLA movie an event movie on the same scale as The Avengers, especially given the fact that they won't have the foundation of individual super-hero films to build an audience.

Snyder has the grand vision (though Sucker Punch was a mess), and the Superman experience while The Wachowskis would be a bold choice, but their Matrix sequels and Speed Racer were hardly great. It's a mine-field. As a left-field choice, perhaps Guy Ritchie?

But I'm avoiding the great big elephant in the room here. Could it be that a directing talent who already has experience of two of the property's biggest draws, as well as of rescuing broken superhero franchises (because in terms of Green Lantern, it's a necessary qualification) could be lined up to bring DC's Avengers rival to the screen...?
