14 Crazy Facts You Just Have To Accept To Enjoy The DCEU
7. Separate Movie & TV Universes Is A Terrible Idea
Warner have made it explicitly clear that they aren't going to combine their DCEU with the TV "Arrowverse", which features the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.
Geoff Johns has stated instead that they treat the two enterprises as being part of a multiverse, ensuring that neither the movies nor the TV shows are shackled to one another and as such constricted creatively.
It's a nice idea, but it's also frustrating for those who want to see all these stories tie together and possess a deeper meaning. Having two iterations of The Flash at once is extremely frustrating in particular, and had Warner and DC actually thought things through a little better, perhaps this all could've formed together neatly and helped prop up the DCEU through its more difficult moments so far.
Comic book fans will of course be highly acclimated to the idea of multiverses and multiple dueling interpretations of a single character, but it's still annoying given how easy it would've been to just sit down and weave it all together.
