10. Luke "Kills" Himself (The Empire Strikes Back)
The Scene: Luke enters Dagobah's Dark Side Cave and comes face-to-face with an illusion of Darth Vader. He cuts the vision's head off after a brief lightsaber battle, but when the decapitated Vader mask falls to the floor, it explodes to reveal Luke's face inside the mask. Why It's Creepy: Aside from the obvious allusion to Vader being Luke's father, it's extremely unsettling seeing the movie's hero having an existential battle against himself and cutting his potential future self's head clean off. The shot, of Luke's blank, lifeless face staring into the camera is pure nightmare fuel whether you're an adult or a kid, and it's pretty surprising that they got away with it in a PG movie.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
