9. C-3PO's Head Transplant Turns Him Into A Psychopath (Attack Of The Clones)
The Scenes: C-3PO and R2 end up in a droid factory, where Threepio's head is separated from his body, each part ending up with a new droid attachment instead. As such, both new C-3PO hybrid bots find themselves marching into the Battle of Geonosis, the mix-up of programming causing him to fire at the Jedi. The bot with Threepio's body has its droid head shot away rather quickly, while the bot with his normal head continues to blast away, even shouting, "Die Jedi dogs!" before the typical C-3PO programming kicks back in and he says, "Oh! What did I say?" As he apologises amid all the warfare, Kit Fisto makes the save by force-pushing Threepio and dropping another droid on top of him, making him unable to move. Why It's Creepy: This is disturbing for a number of reasons: it's so unlike the kindly, overly polite C-3PO audiences know and love, he affects a weirdly American accent, and seeing him firing a gun just seems...wrong. It's like seeing the kindest person you know under the influence of hard drugs: it just seems...off.
