In fairness, Francis Ford Coppola doesn't need to prove anything to anyone: he's won five Oscars and directed some of the most iconic movies of all time, including The Godfather Trilogy, The Conversation and Apocalypse Now, with four of these movies being made in a mere span of 7 years.

Coppola's last film to enjoy critical and box office success was Bram Stoker's Dracula back in 1992, while his last theatrically-released film, 2011's horror flick Twixt, was panned into oblivion by critics and made just $368,086 theatrically.

Will It Happen?: Coppola's 78 years old and the only thing on his slate right now is producing the upcoming Jeepers Creepers III (really), so a comeback is pretty damn unlikely at this point, and he's probably fine with that even if his fans aren't.
