14 Movie Franchises You Had No Idea Still Existed

It's honestly pretty surprising that United Artists didn't do more with the Jeepers Creepers franchise after the 2001 original made almost $60 million against a mere $10 million budget. Fans got a successful 2003 sequel but then, like the Creeper itself, the franchise laid dormant for almost 15 years.

This was most likely due to the controversy surrounding series creator Victor Salva, whose child sexual abuse and child porn charges were once again brought to light while he was attempting to get a third film made.

Jeepers Creepers 3 was eventually released late last year, though, and while clearly low-budget, managed to gross $3.2 million on its one-day cinema release, and surely multiplied that number many times over on home video.

Salva has promised that a fourth film is in development, and if he's been able to succeed this long against considerable obstacles, there's not really any reason to doubt him.
