14 Movie Trailers That Spoiled Awesome Plot Twists

You almost have to admire a movie that places its big reveal so blatantly in front of audience's eyes, even if they might not initially realise quite how literal it is.

This adaptation of Orson Scott Card's beloved sci-fi novel may not be an especially great movie, but it does benefit from a fantastic final reveal, that Ender's (Asa Butterfield) climactic training exercise was no test mission at all, and he in fact just wiped out the Formic homeworld for real, much to his horror.

It's a legitimately disturbing and well-wrought twist which lends the movie some unexpected emotional weight and commentary about the digitised nature of modern warfare. It's just a shame, then, that the trailers and posters for the movie quite literally tell the audience, "This is not a game."

While some may have assumed it was broad marketing spiel, it is in fact literally telling viewers precisely what the big reveal is.
