3. George Clooney Loses Sleep Over The Monuments Men's Bad Reviews
If you ever thought that an actor as charming and likeable as George Clooney must have thick skin to survive in the limelight like he does, think again. As reviews emerged for his new movie The Monument Men at the start of the year, Clooney expressed his anxiety in several e-mails to Amy Pascal, at first stating, "I need some protection from all the reviews. Lets just make it a hit. I havent slept in 30 hours. And its 7 am". Pascal responded that the best revenge would be to make tons of money from the movie, to which Clooney followed up with "I fear Ive let you all down. Not my intention. I apologize. Ive just lost touch Who knew? Sorry. I wont do it again." It's an eye-opening series of e-mails which no doubt paints Clooney in a sympathetic light, showing vulnerability and regret many likely didn't expect he'd have about a mediocre movie he made.
