Why It Looks Terrible: Granted, little has been shown off so far (which is itself a bit worrying), but it's about a magical box of animal crackers that turns humans into the animal of whatever cracker they eat. Yep.

Why It'll Still Make A Profit: It's got a great cast at least (John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Danny DeVito, Ian McKellen and Sylvester Stallone) and the marketing can emphasise the involvement of Mulan director Tony Bancroft. Plus, it boasts an easy hook of a premise (lazy though it sounds) with a catchy title that's universally understood.

It's got three weeks to wreck the global kiddie box office before The Lego Ninjago Movie shows up, and with no threatening blockbusters either side of it, it's going to run largely unopposed.
