2011's French comedy The Intouchables is the 2nd highest-grossing foreign-language film of all time, a charming and heart-warming tale of a rich quadriplegic (François Cluzet) learning to love life again with the help of his carer from the projects (Omar Sy).

It's a broad movie that played extremely well with general audiences around the world, so honestly it's pretty surprising that it's taken this damn long to get the Hollywood treatment.

The remake, re-titled The Upside, stars Bryan Cranston in the Cluzet role and Kevin Hart as the carer, while Nicole Kidman and Julianna Margulies will appear in supporting roles, and Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Limitless, Divergent) directs.

Though it's unlikely to match the success of the original film, it should do fine business drawing from the diverse fanbases of Cranston and Hart, and it'll be nice to see Hart showing off a little more acting range than usual.
