Why It Won't Happen: Production has been meant to start "soon" for quite some time now, but the concept itself is just so absurd that it's hard to imagine a comprehensible script ever coming to fruition. Plus, will a follow-up to the 1996 classic over two decades later really resonate with a modern young audience reared on Michael Bay movies?
Why It Still Could: Hell, everyone loves basketball and LeBron James, so even if it sucks, this one will probably do solid business at the box office. If you take away your nostalgia, the original Space Jam actually isn't a particularly good movie (sorry), but it still made $230 million worldwide.
