14 Upcoming Movies That Will Definitely Get Cancelled

3. The ExpendaBelles

The Hype: The all-female Expendables spin-off will reportedly see an ensemble cast of femme fatales shipped to a nondescript (and probably fictional) country as undercover prostitutes, only to kick all sorts of a** as they attempt to topple the despot ruling there. Producer Avi Lerner is apparently trying to lure the likes of Meryl Streep, Cameron Diaz and Milla Jovovich to star, while Robert Luketic (21, The Ugly Truth) will direct.

Why It Won't Happen: For starters, the premise is inane and unarguably sexist as Hell, so Lerner's going to struggle to attract many actresses to the film, especially with even Sylvester Stallone basically distancing himself from it.

Plus, with the core Expendables franchise currently trying to stage a comeback after the third film's underwhelming box office performance, that's surely where the priorities lie for the foreseeable future. As such, it'd be easy to quietly forget The ExpendaBelles.

Why It Still Could: With some fine-tuning the core idea could probably work, cheesy title and all. Remove the hooker angle and there could be some fun here, if the project isn't already too tainted.
