14 Upcoming Movies That Will Definitely Get Cancelled

The Hype: Director Doug Liman and Tom Cruise are both locked-in for a sequel to 2014's cult sci-fi flick, though there are few details beyond that.

Why It Won't Happen: It's pretty surprising this sequel is even getting serious consideration given that the film was a box office disappointment to the extent that it was re-branded on home video as "Live. Die. Repeat." It seems odd for Warner Bros. to distance themselves from the original title only to then attempt a sequel banking on that very name.

This just feels like a movie that will end up with a script and all the creative will in the world, but Warner Bros. executives will low-ball the budget or simply refuse to green-light it.

Why It Still Could: The movie has sold exceptionally well on home video following strong word-of-mouth, and with that market becoming more profitable than ever with the success of streaming services, perhaps that'll given Warner Bros. enough confidence to get the sequel made.
